How to Get Ripped Fast – 5 Proven Tips

1. Diet

You may have heard the saying that abs are created in the kitchen, it is true. Most individuals including trainers, forget that abs are not build of air and tend to overlook their diet. Any serious trainer knows that the right diet is the most important element of getting ripped, and is responsible for about 90% of the success of your diet. So what is the right diet? The right is a delicate mix of proteins, vitamins and carbohydrates. Protein is the most important element of muscle, so ensure you eat at least one gram for every pound of your body weight. However, do not forgo your carbohydrates thinking they are not important. Naturally starchy foods such as brown rice, sweet potatoes and oatmeal are beneficial to the growth of your 6 pack. Do not over eat but eat appropriately.

2. Do High Intensity Training.

You do not only need to do an uncountable number of sets and repetitions of crunches only to get ribbed. Instead try and work in some high intensity exercises like sprints for a few minutes, then shift to a lower intensity training such as walking for another few minutes. Alternate between these two types of exercises as it helps to burn fat and pack on the abs. However, do not forget you usual abs routine of hanging leg rises, stability ball crunches and cable crunches.

3. Cheat on your diet

Occasionally cheating on your diet can help you to lose fat and rip muscles. This is because when you are on a strict diet, your levels of Leptin drop. This makes you cranky and also reduces your metabolism. Consuming outside your diet boosts your Leptin levels which in turn increase metabolism, allowing you to burn more fat and build ab muscle fast.

4. Increase your fruit and water intake.

Studies carried out in various universities and research centers found that individuals who ate more fat burning fruits, such as grape fruits and apples were able to build their abs faster. This is because grapefruit lowers insulin levels and boosts metabolic rate, while apples are antioxidants which boost endurance and aids in fat loss around the abs.

5. Rest

One of the most essential things that any trainer or individual trying to get ribs must do is get proper rest. Rest at night and in between days gives your muscle a chance to rejuvenate and grow. When you are working out and doing the crunches, you are usually tearing muscle, you will need to get enough rest and eat properly to make sure that the muscles heal. If you do not sleep well or take work out break days, you will simply over work the muscles and they will waste. Get at least 8 hours of sleep and take a day off between work outs.
